Planters & Citizens Bank Announces New Hire

KeithCAMILLA, Ga., (DATE) – The Board of Directors of Planters & Citizens Bank is pleased to announce the recent hiring of J. Keith Anthony as Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer.

“We are thrilled to welcome a banker the caliber of Keith Anthony to Planters and Citizens Bank.”, says Susan Keigans, President of Planters & Citizens Bank.  “Mr. Anthony has a wealth of expertise and knowledge in community banking that we will leverage to grow our bank and our community. Together, we have great plans for our institution.”

A native of Albany, Georgia, Mr. Anthony received his BBA from Valdosta State University in 2001.  He furthered his education by graduating from the Georgia Bankers Association’s Georgia Banking School in 2009 and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in 2015, where he served as class president during his 3rd year.  Throughout his banking career, Mr. Anthony has served in numerous leadership roles including Branch Manager, Commercial Lender, Chief Lending Officer, and Division President.  Before joining Planters & Citizens Bank, Mr. Anthony worked at Persons Banking Company (formerly The Farmers Bank) in Forsyth, Georgia.

Mr. Anthony is also a leader in his industry and his community.  He is the current President-Elect of the Leadership Georgia Banking Association Executive Committee and a member of several banking industry roundtable groups.  Additionally, Mr. Anthony serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Forsyth-Monroe Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Forsyth-Monroe Kiwanis Club.
